At HowDoYouGame, we help people learn everything about games by collating information and news about games.

To manage gaming time responsibly, the first step is setting start and stop times for yourself and any guests. While this can be a challenging endeavor, it’s necessary for healthy video game use.
Health experts advise teens and school-aged kids to limit video game play to no more than two hours daily, including online gaming, which can be harder to monitor and control than playing on a console or PC.

Kids of all ages need limits on their video game playing time. Setting clear rules, such as no more than 60 minutes on school days or 2 hours on non-school days, will help keep everyone on track. It’s also wise to restrict online game content that may include violence or sexual content. These limits can easily be set within each family member’s profile by selecting Time Limits under Time Limits.
You can use this feature to set different Time Limits for weekdays and the weekend. To do this, open a family member’s profile settings and select the Weekend Time Limits icon in the top right of the screen (see screenshot below). Select which days should count as weekend days for this profile, and voila! You’re on your way to controlling their online activity. Note that these features only work if you enable appropriate Filtering and Time Limits settings; some features, such as History or Usage, may not be accessible if profiles have been configured with None Filter Level Filters.

Are Timers the Key to Sticking to Online Games Start Times and Limits?

As a gamer, you understand the significance of adhering to online game start and limit times. Whether playing board games, video games, or competitive sports, timers can help keep you organized and ensure that your gaming experience remains enjoyable.
Timers are specialized clocks that measure time intervals. They have many uses, from everyday household necessities to large industrial systems. Timers can create a delay, measure baud rates, or generate specific frequencies. Furthermore, they serve as useful tools in tracking the progress of circuits or embedded systems.
To create a timer in Scratch, first add a variable. This can be done either via the Variables palette or by adding a code block to an existing script. For our example, let’s create a timer that counts down from 15 minutes.
Once you’ve created a timer variable, you can use it to monitor the game’s progress. Select which sprite will be used as the timekeeper (it could be the player).
Once the timer reaches its limit, you can write a code block to stop it. Do this by creating an if-then block that tests the first value (the number of seconds that have passed) against the second value (15). For this example, we’ll use the operator if-then 15=0 to test if 15 equals 15. If not, wait one second, then increase by one until your timer equals 15 again.
